Richarlison has hit back at Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson following their mocking of his celebrations, by questioning their own World Cup goal-scoring records.
The incident occurred after Tottenham’s 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield earlier this season.
Despite Richarlison’s last-minute equaliser, his side conceded almost immediately after a Lucas Moura mistake.
Wilson and Antonio, who play for Newcastle and West Ham respectively, made fun of Richarlison for taking off his shirt in celebration, as three of his four Premier League goals this season had been ruled out for offside.
Wilson and Antonio both joked that he is “close to a suspension” as players are booked for taking their shirts off, but Richarlison has now hit back.
The Brazilian wrote in a comment on TikTok:
“How many goals do both have [at] the World Cup?”.
In addition to this incident, Richarlison has had a disappointing season since joining Tottenham from Everton for £60m having only scored one Premier League goal against the Reds.
There were even rumors that he would leave the team if manager Antonio Conte was not sacked, but Richarlison denied these claims.
