In the match against Espanyol, Madrid experienced an early setback when Joselu scored a goal just eight minutes after kick-off, leaving the ‘Merengues’ stunned.
However, true to their reputation for comebacks, Madrid immediately sprang into action. Vinicius scored a beautiful goal in the 22nd minute to level the game, and Militao followed suit, giving Los Blancos the lead.
In stoppage time, Asensio scored the final goal after a fantastic play by Nacho, putting the icing on the cake for Madrid.
Madrid remain in second place on 56 points, they are now six points behind leaders Barcelona who will travel to Athletic Bilbao tommorow.
Espanyol on the other hand are 16th on the table with 27 Points, two points above the relegation zone.
