Manchester United defeated Brighton 7-6 on penalties, securing their place in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Solly March missed the decisive spot-kick by firing it over the crossbar, while Victor Lindelof scored the winning penalty for United.
Despite chances for both sides, the match ended in a 0-0 stalemate after extra time, with David de Gea saving Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, Julio Enciso, and March from finding the back of the net.
Marcus Rashford nearly clinched the victory for United, but Brighton’s goalkeeper Robert Sanchez made a fantastic save.
Meanwhile, Manchester City comfortably beat Sheffield United 3-0 in the other semi-final on Saturday, setting up a Wembley showdown on Saturday, 3 June for the FA Cup final.
