The Guinness world record official Page on Twitter has reacted to the news of Nigerian Chef, Hilda Bacci breaking the record of the longest cooking hours in history.
They said a proper review has to be done before confirming the record.
Recall that Hilda Bacci,a Nigerian chef from Akwa ibom began the mission on Wednesday, May 10 to break the world record for the longest cooking hours, which was broken by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.
She organized a cooking marathon ‘Hildacookathon’ which she scheduled to last for 96 hours.
Interestingly, She surpassed the initial 87 hours with over 9 hours on the morning of May 15, 2023 earning her the title of the chef with longest cooking hours in history.
However, The Guinness world record responsible for giving the title to the record breakers has released a statement saying they would review the evidence before confirming a record.
They wrote: ” we’re aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record 💫 “
Nigerians, during the course of this event have gone to the Venue in Lagos State to show support to Hilda as she worked hard to break the record.
Congratulations to Hilda, we hope the title is granted to her.
